HELP Glowforge Pro - No laser - laser head now not connecting

keeping it basic No laser - laser head now not connecting
Have run through basic diagnostics with glowforge through email and they have said they cannot repair from their end - might need hardware etc

Started with no laser but will scan material, actually move like its cutting or working - after diagnostics the laser head now not scanning the area or even moving - glowforge had initially told me to manually move the laser head to see if it would change in anyway - they asked me to clean and take pictures of the plug that connects to the electronic board on the left side behind the cooling tank, ribbon white cable that runs to the laser head looks fine and undamaged

living in rural west wales and hard find a electronics experr - glowforge repair team could not give me any wiring diagrams or schematics to help me - I have a multimeter ready haha (light and heavy vehicle technician so some understanding of wiring schemtaics etc)

anyone else had these issues?

You’re probably talking about diagnosing and repairing a red wire short circuit. There’s a good video by Wiregrass here:

It’s something that can be fixed at home. Use caution, of course.

Of course it might not be this issue but you do have all the symptoms.
