Help me reduce the time?

While I routinely run 3d relief carvings at 1355 LPI because I do see quite a difference in the quality of the result :slightly_smiling_face: At the lower LPI there is a definite “grain” in the direction of the head movement most easily seen in acrylic but most of the harder woods you see it also. Where there is significant grain in the wood the “softer” the engrave the more the wood grain is brought out as some is cut deeper than others. by how hard it is, so full power and high LPI would bite deeper than I would like the only variable left is speed.

I never said anything about LPI, only speed. I agree, higher LPI does give difference in quality but again I never mentioned LPI in my posts.

It is a big part of the time taken to engrave however. :slightly_smiling_face:
