Help Prepping Photos For Engraving

Hi All,

I’ve been working to prep some photos for engraving but unfortunately I am new to working with photos and have been struggling a bit to get good engraves on maple hardwood. These engravings are going to be for friends who absolutely love their animals and wanted some cool keepsakes. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me prep some photos for engraving or be able to direct me somewhere where I could get help?

Thanks,
Brian

I don’t do photo engraves, but if I did I would buy this product: https://wimberleypuzzlecompany.com/collections/software/products/jbs-glowforge-laser-engraving-photoshop-actions

I actually decided to try the laser engraving photo editing option for those three photos. I’m super excited to see what the photos look like when processed.

Expect to test before committing to a final piece of artwork.

Here are the results of my photo engraving. The material is a solid maple tap handle that I purchased from Amazon (link below). I started with the proofgrade settings and put the laser power down to 10 as they were coming out a bit dark, but lowering the laser power did the trick.
