Help with shapes

Hi I got a problem I don’t know how to make straight lines and shapes like squares circle or stars to cut them with my GF can someone Help me

Adobe Illustrator CC 2018

Okay, I use an older version of Illustrator, but all you have to do is use the shape creation tools, give them a Stroke color, but no Fill color.
