Settings for non-Proofgrade materials can only be discussed in the “Beyond the Manual” forum. You can open your own discussion topic there, but in general, every material is different and there is no one type of “barn wod”, so you will need to experiment and come up with the settings that work best for the material you have on-hand.

hi there, here are the engrave setting i use but you may need to adjust based on the material. I was using very old 100+ year old pine.
I would also recommend using a wire brush to remove any excess dirt and debris
Etch:
speed 400
power 40
LPI 270
This gave me a nice deep dark etch if you want a little lighter try moving the power down to 25 or 30
