I was thinking that too - and then I remembered the kerf cut boxes someone did where the living hinge doesn’t go all the way through, and now I’m wondering if you could manage to use that to do a perfectly smooth inner wall…hey, look at me making more work for you :stuck_out_tongue:

Are there tutorials for how to design using this technique, or what terms could I google? I am interesting in designing a strawberry out of red acrylic as a hanging lightbulb surround and I like this execution much better than the flat "blades"cut to contours of a berry inserted into a round disk shape.

I did a workshop on how I design the connectors for these shapes, and that might be a good start.

I finally 3D printed a bowl insert for this. It only took 5 years! Wood PLA on the Bambu X1-C.

Thats really impressive. It is interesting to see how the honeycomb pattern on the bottom and sides of the bowl were used for strength. Very beautiful bowl even down to the blue screws. Nice feature. Well, looked again and the screws are black.

Wow! That looks amazing. You must have given that a lot of thought an effort.

Just forgot about it. Creating was quick and simple in Fusion 360. About 5 hours on 3d printer.
