Humbaba plaque final product

I posted my first effort a couple of weeks ago in draftboard, and since then I’ve been refining the design (trying to cut out a couple of layers, working on the contour of the eyebrows, and making an acrylic stand) and waiting for materials to arrive. I finally sat down and cut the final product yesterday - one in cedar ply, and one in Baltic birch.

The birch came prefinished so I didn’t do any post-production finishing (aside from gluing it together), but I oiled the cedar to bring out the wood grain more. Next time I’ll pay more attention to the direction of the grain, but I don’t think it looks too bad
