Hurricane season 2024

Here we go again! I am seeing a tropical storm hitting the Daytona area next Thursday with ~40mph winds. It is at the far end of what can be seen, but anyone north of the Cape should start keeping an eye out.

Hmm. The latest has wandered a lot and is now headed to S. Carolina. It is still pretty far out so who knows.

Yikes, that looks scary. I grew up in earthquake-prone states and have yet to experience hurricanes. I hope you and your loved ones stay safe.

Actually went ashore just south of Brunswick, GA with this from midnight last night (the green bit is where Brunswick is)…

I’m showing a max of 30mph winds so not much. We got a bit of rain from it.
