HVAC vent adapter

The AC duct in my wife’s office is directly over her blasting directly on her hands. Closing the vent made her office too hot, so she asked me for a solution.

After a quick run to the hardware store I returned with four different types of vent airflow diverters. Easy enough to install as they each come with magnets installed on each side that cling onto the metal vent cover. And like every home improvement project things don’t always go to plan. The placement and strength of the magnets hold them on just good enough to wait until someone is under them.

Back to the drawing board. I decided to fabricate the following adapter and cut it out on my Glowforge.

My wife’s reaction to this engineering masterpiece, “it has kitties on it”.

This is awesome, I have a couple of vents in the house that have a similar problem. :upside_down_face:

Sidenote: Moma cat (Spot) has taken over the :glowforge: when not in use to get away from kittens
