I’ve been trying to make outlines around my text so I can use it as a stencil to align my alphabets. but i seem to be able to only make squares, how do i make rectangles on the GF interface?

Click the little ruler icon at the bottom of the screen, then click the “link” icon to unlock the aspect ratio.

As shortcut, if you don’t need an exact size, you can hold down the shift key and click/drag to resize.
