I had the chance to meet Xyla at WorkBenchCon earlier this year, and it was just after she posted her new shop tour video, and in it, she blatently hinted that she wanted someone to make her a “BotalToat” sign for her “TotalBoat Store” (a corner of her shop with all of her TB epoxy & related accessories).
So I chatted with her, and at the time, she had no other takers on it she was aware of, so, I told her I’d make her something.
Made entirely out of acrylics (and an LED strip) lasered out on the Glowforge Pro, and held together almost entirely with TotalBoat’s TotalBond CA glue (they had just released it during WorkBenchCon, and it was for one of their sponsees, so… it made sense, they also sent me some for the project.Usually I would use something like WeldOn #4, but this was a special case.)
Released a little video on it on Friday, and just saw the Owner’s forum summary email pop up, so, I thought I should also post it here. I do have the design available for download in the video description if anyone is interested in making it!
