Ah, so why that hard drive full of data arrived blank.
Mine were delivered just like that. 
Mine arrived in containers that the outside of the package was beyond the magnetic field, and my tiny magnets are still in such containers.

I wonder if the delivery person questioned whether they were on “Candid Camera.” I know, I’m dating myself using “Candid Camera” as an example! LOL! I envision the driver putting the box on the doorstep, it leaping up onto the door, the driver pulling it off the door and setting it back down on the doorstep, it leaping back up onto the door… Where’s the “Ring” video of this?! 
sadly, i imagine it more as the driver throwing the box up onto the porch and then it bounced, hit the door and stuck.
Can you imagine the * thunk * as it hit the door.
i can only imagine it. my door is fiberglass and wood, so it wouldn’t stick.
