I tried Engraving a pumpkin

I tried photo engraving a pumpkin in the glowforge it actually worked out really well. I sliced off the face so it would fit in and put in an inverted bitmap of the avengers my settings were 340 lines per inch full power with a speed of 300. I also made a video of the whole process here https://youtu.be/tMrz-jA06sU got to give most of the credit to the software for making it look so good. instead of a candle, I used a light bulb so it would get enough light to come through.

Nice work–light bulb is a great idea! GF is such a fun tool!
Last year when I did a design, I also shaved/thinned down (with a knife) the inside flesh to make my design more translucent.

That came out awesome! I’m gonna move this over to Beyond the Manual so they don’t ask you to remove the non-PG settings (per forum rules), since plenty of people will probably want to know what they were.
