Hey, I’d been having trouble with my stuff not cutting through and was just about to contact support when I decided to go through everything again to see if I could find the problem.
Well, it turns out that, well, as I said, I’m an idiot. The GFUI saves your last settings and has for a while. I had gone from doing Baltic Birch to 
with the same file and had not changed the settings.
I have to wonder how many of the “won’t cut through” complaints are this?

Haven’t had that happen. Yet. I appreciate the heads up, as I probably wouldn’t have thought of that either and would be tearing my hair out.
LMAO same here. Been there several times. This is the exact same reason I made that sanding video.
Oof, thanks for posting this. I suspect I did exactly this to myself last week. Oh well, never a bad thing for extra cleaning of optics.
I just did a similar but in the bad order - attempted to engrave cork with the BB settings…isn’t it nice how it’s really hard to catch cork on fire, cuz I tried!
