Worth a try, thanks. First step is adhering a scrap of the masking material and seeing if I can transfer it – if it sticks too well, no need for a trial by fire.
I have some 1/4 " Delrin that I tried to make a small leather stamp. It was so melty that I had to make ~20 passes to not have a blob. That could be a positive thing for you as it might be used multiple times with little degradation.
