Im having trouble vectoring my image on AI when I try to to image trace it it comes out grey and it won’t let me click anything . someone pls help

thank you ! what about when creating your own image on AI and then vectoring it’s not letting me
How did you create the image in AI? If you used the drawing tools, it is already a vector. (The image trace only works on pixel images created in a program like Photoshop.)
