Penny Arcade is an online comic for gamers, if you’re not familiar. They’ve been running the “Child’s Play” auction to benefit Children’s Hospitals for decades and they put out a call for auction items today.
The auction will not be happening until November but I wanted to plant the idea that if you would like to make something for the auction, now is probably a great time to start. People love bidding on hand made one of a kind items and I know that our community is full of incredibly talented individuals. Over the years I have seen beautiful quilts, dolls, carvings, jewelry, clothing, paintings, and other crafted items related to games and gaming go for super high prices during the course of the evening.
