In Search Of - Cash/Gift Card Holder From Acrylic

I’m in search of an idea for a gift card/cash holder made from acrylic. I would love to have the cash and or gift card slide between layers of acrylic…but I’m having a hard time imagining how this would be engineered. If anyone has any ideas…let me know! I’d even be happy to purchase a file that I could customize.

I moved your post because MOAG is for finished projects - but there’s no reason any of the designs made out of wood couldn’t be made out of acrylic…this one in particular you’d be able to see the card but you’d still have to figure out how to get to it (link to the design is in the comments)

Fancy Gift Card Holder

When you can hide the effect, the surprise is that much more enjoyable. My wife wanted a box for a gift card. I said I think I can do better. To get the card out, you slide the flower forward and force the card back through the springs.

I’m going to a baby shower (really, just a dinner) soon. I understand that surveys indicate most people prefer gift cards, and since this one is her second I thought that sounded like a good idea.
