Into The Woods

My friends and I go regularly into the woods to play board games. We call it CampCon! So I determined we needed a sign and this is what my husband Kevin and I came up with. We are pretty happy with it! It is our first full inlay project and it turned out pretty well. The piece of walnut proofgrade was little warped and we think that made a few of the edges look a little wider than they are. Everything is super tightly fit together. This is proofgrade walnut, maple & cherry plus non proofgrade paduk with a light finish on it. IMG_4678

Awesome design and execution! And what a GREAT idea! Gaming in nature. Seems like something I need in my life. Even if it’s just camping in the backyard.

Nice! I’m looking forward to have a better assortment of wood to do something like this!

Fencing with toasted marshmallows instead of eppes or sabers! Cool new sport - you can eat your weapon. :slightly_smiling_face:
