One thing I didn’t see covered (or I missed) is that all cuts have kerf: this doesn’t just make the slot larger, it also makes the tab smaller. For a perfect fit, one would have to adjust both of them. And for a more complicated shape, what’s needed is a path offset rather than changing the size of the object.
It’s probably also a good idea to remind people that the amount of kerf will change with different materials and settings.
