Hey guys!! I have a customer asking about how the 1/8 in acrylic from inventables will hold up in 115 degree Heat in Arizona. I don’t have any experience with this… here in Canada.

Auto-annealing? I don’t know either!

Should be fine…I think the melting point is somewhere around 300° F.
(PLA…not so much.)

Acrylic will be fine. The glass transition temperature is about 110 C. I print with PMMA, which is about the same, and it is fine. Even leaving parts in the car in the sun is fine for parts with a glass transition higher than 80 C.

I made some PLA carabiner things that attach to the headrest posts of the truck so I can hang a plastic trash bag off of them and keep tidy… they are a little droopy now lol.

330deg F melting point. Doesn’t even start to soften til right around there so now worries. Pain when you’re trying to bend it though =P
