My 9yo grandson likes to FaceTime with me on his iPad while we play Minecraft together. Usually I end up looking at his ceiling, so I decided to make him a stand so I can see his face instead. (They only live a mile away, but still!)
His favorite animals are wolves, and his favorite color is red. The pattern is from @BigBlueMark, but shrunk down a little to fit my Baltic birch scraps since I was out of full-size pieces. (My son-in-law sells MDF and Baltic Birch in GF sizes, so I get first dibs on his scraps, which is kind of awesome!)
The wolf is from Magic Canvas, engraved and then painted with acrylic paints. It was kinda fun, but tedious getting down into all those little crevices!
That turned out awesome! And you know he’ll use it more than just when you two play Minecraft together. What a wonderful gift! And your paint job is amazing!
