I have a friend that likes anything Japanese, so I thought i would try to make a japanese lantern for him. it was a fun project I think I might make some more to set on our back porch.

Well done. Is that frosted acrylic, vellum or rice paper?

I didn’t have any rice paper, so I used coffee filters…lol

Parchment paper works well also, but not everyone has that in the kitchen…
I used a tea light to take the picture, but I didn’t leave it burning long. My plan is to find some battery operated tea lights and hot glue them in the base so they can be turned on from the bottom. ( I have a hole cut out to accommodate the tealight.

I sought out the cheapest copy paper I could find. 14 lb. it works great as a diffuser.
