Jewelry parts sources, anybody?

Hey Gang,

I am ramping up on my leather project. FINALLY.

However, my wife wants my daughter to make her some jewelry with some resin embedded flowers etc.

Does anybody out there in “sure I gotta glowforge, but I do a half dozen other crafts land”,
Know where to get better quality jump rings and bezels? The ones she has gotten in the past don’t really hold up, plating wears off etc.

So any possible suppliers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I always recommend firemountaingems.com for
findings and things.

I think it’s been discussed under “jewelry findings” before?

For small quantities I would just get them at my local Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. The problem with Fire Mountain is they have a pretty steep per item cost unless you buy significant quantities.

If you’re going out in the world, I don’t know of an area in the US that doesn’t have some sort of bead store that’s not a huge chain like Michael’s. Worth looking fo that in your local area!

I wish. All of the bead stores in my area have closed. There is one hobby shop that has not closed and they do have some findings. Definitely worth it to check your area.

You might give Temu a try, I started looking at it today. Here is a general search but you could also try searching by specific item, like “jump rings” of “ear wires” or any of the other myriad jewelry components. The large quantity on some of the packs would be good if you’re making a lot.
