Kidde has a big fire extinguisher recall going on. I’m sure one or two Glowforgers have one around:
They also have a smoke alarm recall going on (replaced all 3 of ours).

I’d say it’s on topic. I bet a lot of people on the forum use Kidde extinguishers. Thanks for letting us know!

Thank you so much for posting this. I just checked my extinguishers and discovered one was being recalled. Just finished the process and it said they would send me a new extinguisher in 15 to 20 days and it would include what to do with my old unit.
Apparently they had a nozzle blow off during use which caused a fatality. It affects models from 1973 to 2017.
If you have an extinguisher, check it for you and your family’s sake.

Not off topic in the least. The one I mounted on the bench below my GForge is one of the models in recall status. As well as another. Thank you for posting this.

As it turns out, we have 3 in the office that we are not using any more that are affected. Kidde will be sending replacements. I will just keep them at home, in the garage, etc.
