Can I etch on .025 lacquered aluminum sheets?? I’ve been reading that I cannot cut it but was wondering if I could at least etch on it??
Yes, as long as it’s not a clear lacquer, you should get a nice engrave out of it.
Thanks! It’s purple with a silver backing…so I’m not sure if it’s clear… I’m new to this glow forge thing lol if ya couldn’t tell… 
The purple will laser away and reveal the silver underneath.
If it were a clear laquer on top of unfinished aluminum you won’t get much contrast. With purple you’re going to get high contrast between the purple and the underlying silver color of the aluminum.
