Lasercut Face Shield bracket with arms - use acrylic or wood

Awesomely cute and effective. :grinning:

Don’t use those sheets I mentioned earlier. When wiped with sanitizing wipes, the coating on them turns sticky. Gotta find something clear and cheap.

@Aloha -please list the material you are using for the parts. Mahalo!

Where did you order the PETG from?

@bkwatanuki I purchased them from Amazon before all the COVID stuff happened and had a stock of them. Impossible to get PETG now…

@Aloha here is my list of materials: shield- .03 PETG, headband - 1/8" acrylic sheet, 1" elastic, 1"x1" foam

Thank you!

If the hospitals are using once and throwing them away, then wood would be fine. Maybe label them one use?

i’m not sure they’re throwing the frames away, just the shields.

wood frames would not be allowed to be wiped down in a healthcare setting.

they probably wouldn’t even let you use them in a HC setting. not sanitary at all. especially after they’ve been cut on a laser.

but my point was the acrylic headpiece is reusable because it can be cleaned. so that’s not a one-use piece, even if the shield is.
