Beautiful! I love Kaleidoscopes. Another design you could try is a “dark field” kaleidoscope. Years ago I received the most amazing scope as a gift. Instead of a clear acrylic back it has a black back and colored glass pieces. When you look through the scope you shine the light through the side.

I really want to make one of these! The only issue is I can’t flame polish the edged of the acrylic (I don’t have a map torch) so when I’ve tried blacking out the back not enough light gets in. Maybe if I make a much thicker image cell I can find some other way to polish it up.

FYI, I used a standard $2 torch lighter you can buy at (AFAIK) any 7-11, it worked like a charm! Like these on Amazon
