While moving some machinery at work, my badge got caught and ripped off. So I came home with an impromptu project on my hands. I sketched up a profile and stitching holes in illustrator. Using some scrap leather and spare time on the couch, I had a pretty solid looking replacement.

You might want to put a breakaway clip on it. We insured someone once who got his head sucked into a stamping machine when his badge got caught in a conveyor roller.
He didn’t survive.

You’ve got the best looking badge holder in the place! (Don’t forget to make it safer)

Good call. That’s certainly something I hadn’t considered until you pointed out. I suppose that’s the downfall of using paracord.

It’s why most cops wear clip-on ties. And why I don’t wear my chain on my whistle. Strangle hazard. They make magnetic and vinyl tube/plug break-aways.
