Leather D20 Dice Bag

One of the main reasons I wanted a laser was to make my own embossing plate. So many possibilities. I had three but my toddler took the green one and headed somewhere. Made with veg-tan leather, some lace and leather paint.

Fabulous! I’ve done a bit of embossing, and yeah - so much detail from the :glowforge: and SO MUCH easier than carving it manually.

This bag design is oh so tempting

That’s the first leather one I have seen. Very nice. :grinning:

I have to know… can you roll it?

(Also it’s amazing and you’ve done something I could never have even thought of.)

Why yes you can. First test roll was 14. It has better rng then I expected for a sewn bag.

Very nice! Could you explain the embossing process a little? You engrave the acrylic with the GF then run the leather over it in a machine?

It’s like stamping or tooling. I make the plate, case the leather, then I put the design on top of the leather and use pressure (a 4 ton clicker press) to apply pressure to imprint the design.

Such a fun design. Does it open and close easily?
