Here is a sign I made for a friend’s business. The sign was designed in Inkscape and reverse engraved. The base was designed in VCarve Desktop and machined on a Shapeoko.

Beautiful sign. Did you use a gradient to make the brightness of the LEDs uniform from bottom to top? Looks great.

Thank you. No, I polished the edges. The nice thing about the acrylic is only the engraved areas illuminate. Also, the acrylic is sitting directly on the LED strip, so no “washing out” of the light. I have done several of these signs. This was the first one engraved using the Glowforge.
