Lotus Flower Earrings

Hi Everyone, I have gone crazy lately making humungous earrings in proofgrade basswood, I have received lots of positive comments from colleagues as I have been wearing them on my work video calls.

I wanted to join in with the amazing generosity of all of you so sharing the design of one of my earliest pairs which are a basic lotus flower. I got myself some jump rings and silver wire to make hooks, I made the hooks really long and I made the earrings themselves about 6cm across. You may want to resize them to your preference!

EDIT: The blue lines should be score lines and the red lines are cut lines.

They would, will have to try that! They were initially a bit scratchy and I rounded the tops of the flower, would not need to do that with leather.

Oh no I’m so sorry to hear this, I should have stated that the blue lines are supposed to be score lines in my post. I have edited it now to say that. Maybe I need to use different colours or something, I’m still learning. I’m stoked that you wanted to make these but sorry it wasted some of your leather.
