Making Jack Sparow's Compass from hardwood

I’m pretty proud of this one I made Captain Jack Sparrow’s compass. I used proofgrade maple and nonproofgrade wenge for most of it. Under the lid is a piece of fake leather and the sundial and compass rose have 23k gold leaf. I used AutoCAD and screenshots from the movies for the design.
