Marking gauge for woodworking

Had fun using the GF as part of making a couple of marking gauges for woodworking this past weekend. With a few tests I was able to engrave the perfect width and depth groove for the ruler to slot in.
Decided to make my own knobs too, so cut three layers to glue up and included a hex shaped hole to fit a #10-32 nut in the middle layer.

Once everything was glued together and sanded, I lightly engraved a bit of art on the top and “2020” on the bottom.

I decided to layout the top art non-symmetrically and added a little “pointer” too so it’s easy to remember which edge the measurement is from.

Both rulers are dual sided so can work with inches or millimeters.
