Does anyone have experience marking glass filled nylon? Did some quick research, and it appears that it is a safe material for a CO2 laser.
I had to go look that up. It’s not something I remember seeing discussed here!

Just in basics Nylon would be ok but I would not be surprised if it did not do much to the glass in the fill and that might make for weirdness. If it did not break it up it would be like working with fiberglass and get under your skin. If it did break it up then tiny slivers of fiberglass dust would be flying about.
Other than that Mrs Lincoln the play was excellent…
as for just marking or engraving lightly would depend on the percentage of fiber in the plastic.
