May River Chapel Birdhouse, Palmetto Bluff South Carolina

Please note that a majority of the build was 3D printed, and the only parts cut by the Glowforge were the acrylic windows. After doing a local iconic church as a birdhouse, I was asked to do the May River Chapel which is located in the upscale private community of Palmetto Bluff outside Bluffton, South Carolina. I designed this only using pictures found online using Fusion 360 with mostly 3d printed ASA filament parts. The windows are laser cut translucent grey to allow some light in the birdhouse. When it warms up, I’ll go take a picture of it in front of the actual church.

Your birdhouse replicas of existing buildings are amazing. This could easily become your new speciality if you want it too.

Probably not. I’m too easily distracted by the next new challenge. I mostly did this just to get better at Fusion 360 and see if I could figure it out. However I could be persuaded in exchange for tasty snacks!

As all your work, it´s amazing. Congratulations again.

Just out of curiosity, what tasty snacks are your cup of tea?

Snaky-snacks. I don’t discriminate against really any snacks.
