Remembering those who served. And thinking of their families.
Memorial Day is not to be confused with Veterans Day; Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving, while Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans.
While it’s nice to be appreciated, please don’t confuse today with Veteran’s Day on November 11th…
Thanks. Edited to better state what I was intending.
@pamelatomerlin @dwardio thank you for saying something to help clarify.
My hope with this thread was to recognize and show respect. That was actually why I made a separate post from my start of summer post. Since I realize this weekend is not a celebration for all.
I now have a better way to express it. I appreciate your filling in the gap.
“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them ." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
All who are free have paid the cost of freedom. Our brothers and sisters in Ukraine are paying the bill as I write this.
Edit; (Actually spelled - Sentinel)

@Thumper369 I do hope that you didn’t feel pounced upon. It is just a sticking point with living veterans.
… and possibly more so with families of those who lost loved ones.
Not at all. Thanks for checking.
