Another present! The camera allowed me to position the text directly avoiding the sap wood.
Very nice engraving and box. I assume you engraved before constructing the lid.
Yes I did the engraving before assembling the box.
I love this! So aromatic too.
Beautiful! Reminds me of the one a local furniture store gave to high school graduates. (Many years ago. Ok, many, many years ago).
Beautiful! And I can smell the cedar just looking at the picture! Such a nice gift. They are surely going to enjoy it.
Lovely! I would enjoy seeing more photos, if you have some other angles.
Same here!
Gorgeous! Are you going to have the box at their wedding (I’m assuming it’s a wedding) so people can put in cards or photos?
40ish??? Mine was a mini Lane Hope Chest. I was surprised how many of my friends had actual Hope Chests.
Yes, I believe it was Lane. I didn’t know anyone with an actual large hope chest. Although, tucking away a find here and there was done.
I just sat here and took a big sniff…mmmm, cedar! I love the extra touch of word placement; it’s things like this that make.the.piece!
Beautiful! I love the smell of cedar!!
My wife has her large size Hope Chest. It was one of the things that had to be moved to NC.
I have my mother’s hope chest…made of cedar…from 1932
Ohhh, that’s so wonderful!
