Although I suppose with enough leather you cold have tricked out the refrigerator-sized disk array, but honestly it would still not look as good as these.

This is a great idea. I have yet to use the 
leather samples that came with my GF. This might be the right thing to try those out.

Great idea and interesting fact.
I dropped my MacBook last night and snapped my terabyte sd in half. I had been using it as hard drive/backup for the internal drive.
