If you read through these threads there’s a lot of good info on stamping:
It’s good to see all of the leather stuff happening in here. It’s hugely helpful as I learn new skills in the area. I’ve been cutting and engraving leather pieces for various projects, but I haven’t done anything with a leather stamp since Cub Scouts. I like the look of a good stamp impression on leather, and plan to use it for some upcoming projects.
I know Delrin is a more durable material, but it’s not cheap and I have a fair amount of acrylic on hand - couldn’t hurt for a test. I pulled sim…
Found out awhile ago that my local tack shop has a 4 ton clicker available for my experiments so I’ve been going down there to harass them from time to time. these are my latest batch trying out different engrave procedures with the machine. Experimenting with multiple passes and adjusting the focus height between passes.
This one is for some spur guards they are making.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to paint or stain leather. right now I'm using Craft Smart Acrylic paint to paint it after I cut it. I like the effect I get, but I want to cut it after I paint it. I think It's safe, but I want a second opinion.
Also, if anyone knows another great/cheap way to color leather, please let me know.

For dyes, EcoFlo is grand stuff and works great on PG and other leathers.
