Mine is Martin Tomsky, who's yours?

If you had to pick just one laser artist/craftsman who makes your heart flutter, who would it be?

It’s an almost impossible task for me as I have several artists who inspire me, but Martin Tomsky is at the top of my favorite laser artist list. His intricate layers are just mesmerizing and I love his simple little whimsical designs too. He has a medieval feel to a lot of his work and I love how he makes something beautiful out of the macabre.

If you aren’t familiar with his work, I suggest spending a few hours taking it all in! I’ll help you by adding a few links below. I highly recommend the twitter page as you get a glimpse at his design and layering process.

Sorry for all the pics, I couldn’t narrow it down to just one or two!

Wow, these are absolutely georgeous! I don’t know about the others but the London Below design illustrates the Neil Gaiman book Neverwhere.

This style of work is probably the main reason I ordered a glowforge!!

Very exciting! (Mine are finger painting in comparison…)

Off to look for more of his work!

Here’s an early one I made on a scroll saw for my brother. It’s primitive next to Martin’s, but I can’t wait to make more of them on the Glowforge!

Really lovely! If you can do that with a scroll saw, you’ll make magic with your GF

I honestly don’t know if there is such an official title as “laser artist”, but there should be!

This guy calls himself a laser artist, but it’s the other kind.

It’s a toss up between @m_raynsford and @smcgathyfay for me. They both have been very inspiring.
