I had previously made some of these lamps by hand in my shop. I decided to try making one on the GF as a project to come to terms with SVG’s on inkscape. I am pleased withe the overall project. The small square on top is a paper thin slice of PG maple. When I drew the cut line for the small windows I used a 3 pixel line in photoshop. Inkscape treated it as a filled box, and cut the inside and outside edges.
