Nice find, definitely seems laserable.
Curious: the article says calls the signage “not actually super legible” which could have easily been solved, Pentagram is usually more in tune with such things.

Agree. Signage that is hard to read has failed its fundamental purpose. There are no “points” for looks good, cool technique or anything else. They’re supposed to be conveying information but their construction is preventing them from succeeding well.
Lots of typefaces/fonts like that out there. Form over function
