What type of rock?? When I did the flagstone awhile back, it was before I got the new tube for my laser so it was just etched with the diminished watts. I should try now with the full power…apparently you can deep etch sandstone which is similar to flagstone…

The rock was part of a decorative feature in the garden, I picked it up to demonstrate what a CO2 laser can do. Can’t be sure what it is. Too heavy for a sandstone, too light for a granite, something in-between?

If it was like a stepping stone, maybe some sort of sandy concrete…

Ah, no not concrete. It looked like a sandy river stone shot through with something harder that hasn’t eroded quite as quickly, I’m going for sedimentary but it could be metamorphic I suppose, definitely not igneous. I threw it back in the pile, I’ll have a look for it and post a pic if I find it.
