More glass engraving

I’ve been playing around with more family crest glass decanters. I added a little gold paint to these to bring out the design a little.

That is very nice work. I may have to find a few bottles and give it a try…

Wow, that’s a super nice glass engrave. The gold totally makes it.

Did you mask the bottle before lasering and then spray paint it?

Looks fantastic! Love the gold.

Actually it’s even easier than that. I paint over the entire design with an acrylic paint marker. After you allow the paint to dry for a couple of minutes, simply wipe the excess (gently) from the glass, leaving only the paint in the grooves.

Wow! I love your glass engraving! I’ve been visiting the forum since 2015, and this is one of my favorite projects. Lovely! The gold paint is great idea.

WOW! … another exciting thing to add to my list… I assume you have to take out the crumb tray?

Yes. Take out the crumb tray. Even with that, these bottles barely fit.

Well, that is easier. Thanks.

These are really awesome! Did you have to create a jig to hold those in place?

I don’t know if you could call it a jig. I just pulled the tray out and took a scrap of 3mm material to shim the bottle into a level position. You just need to wedge in a way that keeps the bottle from moving around due to machine vibrations. I’m from the simple is better school of thought.
