More Pin Mucking About

I usually do weekly witch illustrations so this month I decided to make wooden pins instead.
I’m currently on the hunt for a better pin backing source, so if anyone has suggestions I’d be glad to hear them!

Amazon has lots of great choices for pin backs. Use a good glue.

Very cute!
Your pins look like they are 2 layers. If they are, can you create a slot in the back one that would better hold the pin in place? Or perhaps just 2 holes, one for the pointy bit to come out and one for the closing bit to come out. hmmm… there would need to be a score line between the 2 holes for the wire of the pin back to rest in so it would glue flat to the front.

For a great source for the pin backs (or any other jewelry finding or tool):

I heavily engrave a circle the same size as the pin back on the back of pins I’ve made . That gives a fixed alignment and a deep area to put your glue in for a better bond, and it also removes some of the shear stresses the pin back might have to endure.
