You can make a man-bun without a hair tie???
Also, despite the fact I’m probably old enough to be his mother, I’m pretty sure guy #1 is incapable of looking goofy. He can wear a man-bun if he wants to.

Try long and curly. (Photo courtesy of the spendy curly hair specialist I finally went to, who told me all the hair things I’ve been doing wrong for my entire life. sigh She did make it look pretty amazing, though!)
Oooh. I LOVE your hair. My hair is long and curly, too, but more gray (I started graying when I was 20). It’s down to my lower back when wet. It tends more towards frizz than curl, but on good days I get those ringlets. I always wear it in a ponytail and strangers come up to me and ask if they can touch my hair. [Note: It’s ALWAYS creepy, so don’t do that.]
Also, apologies to the OP who clearly didn’t know what he was getting into when he started this post.
Thanks! I love it a lot more now than I did before–here’s the “before” shot:
Supposedly the frizzies eventually mostly go away if you Do All The Things. No shampoo, no combs/brushes, no tight hair ties, lots of moisturizing stuff, etc. I’m getting better at it; seems to be working so far!
Moustaches are made of hair, right? We’re not THAT off-topic.
I have never made a man-bun, but I have watched girls tie their hair up into a bun with no hair tie.
I was gonna link a video, but I got distracted by ridonkulous moustaches.
These are the sorts of things you miss out on knowing about when you grow up as a tomboy surrounded by only brothers.
Also, those moustaches are awesome. There should be a rule that if you wear a man bun, you have to also have a ridonculous moustache.
Like, I said, passé. Now it’s all about the beards.
