Sometimes my simplest ideas are my best. When I bought this iPad, I bought a case that had a keyboard, but alas, over the years of use, the keyboard failed, but the iPad is going strong.
I bought a new case, but I often find that a real keyboard would be a great help, and I had this one lying around, getting very little love. Trying to just throw them both on my lap just was not going to work, so here is the “CyberSlab.” A piece of draftboard, lots of Velcro, and a piece of white vinyl for the back. (don’t panic, the vinyl never came close to the )
Glossy white vinyl makes a great whiteboard for those quick ideas, and Sharpies are permanent right up until I break out the IPA.
Very sharp! I was expecting something tilted so you could see the screen easier - apparently I missed the word “slab”. Is the oval at the top just a handhold? How big is it? I need to make me something like that for using my laptop while I’m sitting in my chair. I’m tired of trying to balance it on my lap and am too cheap to buy something.
I was wondering about how notes stay on the white board until read that you write them on with permanent marker! That is an awesome idea to keep your notes where you can easily see them.
