Great projects to start with.
You might be interested in a high torque sweep second hand clock unit. Google around and grab a seiko model, they hold up really well and will let you mount hands to really do that clock some justice.
Yeah but srsly stay with seiko. The cheaper high torque movements tend to die on me, so I’d avoid them if I were you.

Great first projects!!! I have a 24-clock body/hands that I wanted to make a clock with but never got around to it. This makes me want to start designing it again. LOL
