First box was a wine box with a living hinge handle. Made out of Baltic birch I picked up yesterday. I probably will do wine boxes differently in the future. I’m a little leery of the longevity of them actually holding up to carrying with a bottle. And I would do an acrylic front or window, but this was quick and dirty last night, but with a little paint to accent the holly.
Today I made a small cherry hardwood box with PG cherry and a deep photo engraved lid of my mom’s favorite cat (been gone a few years now). About 2” x 2.75” x 2”.
I like how this came out. The cat face is a little subtle and ghosty, but I’m ok with that.
